    Interactive discussion among colleagues about challenges, experiences and best practice examples with Peter Zeidelhack and Julius Kerscher, both from the DAV Federal Teaching Team Route Construction.

  • 3.00 – 3.45 pm DAV bouldering certificate for children and young people presented by Lucia Dörffel (d/e) in Foyer East 
    With its two-stage ‘Indoor Boulder Check’, the DAV aims to minimize the risk of injury when bouldering and ensure conflict-free sporting activities. Children and their parents, as well as adult beginners, are taught the basic rules of conduct and an understanding of safety in bouldering gyms.

  • 10.00 – 10.45 am Management positions in climbing gyms – know the scope of responsibilities and utilize personnel skills (d/e) in Foyer East 
    Leaders bear responsibility – not only for processes, but above all for people. How can operators and managers realistically assess staff skills, support the personnel and deploy them sensibly – for a strong, well-functioning team!

  • 12.30 am – 1.45 pm  Creating access – routes that connect! Climbingwall Hall A6 
    Climbing is for everyone – we create routes that exclude no one. Barriers down, holds up – diversity on the wall counts more than difficulty grades. Inclusive route setting with a presentation of suitable climbing holds from different manufacturers.

  • 2.00 – 2.45 pm Autobelay devices: Critical incidents, accidents, risks and recommendations from the DAV (d/e) in Foyer East
    Serious accidents repeatedly occur when climbing with autobelay devices due to failure to clip in. The DAV presents the results of its survey on the operation of autobelay devices. Together with the results of accident statistics with a special focus on accidents involving autobelay devices, recommendations for setting up autobelay lines are presented.
