    Leeways for climbing the legal way
    Using examples from indoor climbing facilities and court decisions, those responsible for climbing gyms will get a detailed overview of the most important liability and legal issues that occur in daily climbing gym operations. In addition, the penal relevance of climbing accidents will be discussed.

    Climbing is healthy! - Is climbing healthy?
    Climbers naturally consider climbing to be healthy. But what is the perspective of the society? What are health promoting exercises and is climbing one of them? What basic conditions must climbing and bouldering fulfil in order to be socially recognised as health promoting? What are the prospects and market chances for operators of climbing and bouldering facilities in the future health sector? These questions will be considered in the lecture and discussed afterwards.

    Manage climbing gyms with competence!

    Managers of climbing facilities have to perform a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis: Customer service, route setting, facility maintenance, personnel management and much more.
    Starting in autumn 2020, the DAV will train the gym employees with the necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of sports operations, communication and marketing, technical operations, economic operations and human resources management as well as administration. This will be done in a series of five modules.
    The lecture will present the new and comprehensive training programme for current and future gym operators.
