European Youth Championships 2022

Between the 8th and 10th of July, the best european speed & lead climbers meet in Augsburg for the highest continental comparison of big forearms, pain resistance, mental strength and speed. This year, the continental youth championship take place at the "Kletterzentrum Augsburg" in Germany. A climbing party for Youth B, Youth A and Juniors. Over 200 athletes, 24 lead routes, two speed lanes, place for over 500 spectators and a very experienced competition venue. Good conditions for a climbing party with the best european youth climbers as leading actors.
For the selection of the best of the best, three competition days are necessary. Three rounds over two days, qualification, semi-finals and finals, are going to decide who is going to win the eurpean lead title. For the speeders, taining runs, qualification runs and the finals decide who is the fastest climber in his age group in europe.
Not only a spectacle for the athletes, but also for the visitor, who have multiple ways to follow the competition.

Public transport: Closest public transport is via Tram. The station is called: “Sportanlage Süd P+R, Augsburg (Bayern)“. (400 meters to the competition venue). Train tickets and timetables can be found on site or online.

Attention!
The outdoor comp wall will be closed for the competition routsetting starting at the 27. of June.
The speed wall is closed starting at the 02. of July.
After the competition, the outdoor comp wall is still blocked. It will not be possible to test the routes again!

Event rules:
In case of symptoms of a respiratory illness, people need to stay away from the event, unless they tested negative for Covid-19. The event takes part at an outdoor venue. Isolation and warm up areas are indoor. Masks need to be worn indoors (except when climbing) according to IFSC Covid Addendum.
